Content of Proposals for Short-Term Training

Proposal for short-term training should be submitted to Lee Harrison at the University of Pittsburgh at lharriso@edc.pitt.edu.

Proposals should contain the following:

Name, title, and institution of the proposed trainee
Institution and location of training
Proposed dates of training
Nature of training
Mentor in the United States/training site
Mentor in Mozambique upon return
Relevance to training to HIV prevention in Mozambique
Relevance of training to the mission of Catholic University of Mozambique
Written approval for the training from a UCM and/or CIDI official, which can be provided in either in a letter or in an email

For training proposals that include research project, the proposal should include the following information

Title of the project
Background
Specific aims
Methods section, including study design, subject recruitment, sample size, analysis, issues related to human subjects
Relevance to proposed research to needs of Mozambique
